A teenager who used to work at Disneyland suffered one of the worst deaths imaginable while working on a ride that no longer exists at the park.Now, despite Disneyland being dubbed 'the Happiest Place on Earth,' sometimes it can become the home of horrific tragedies.Deborah Gail Stone, from Santa Ana in California, was working at the resort in Anaheim back in 1974 when she passed away under tragic circumstances.The employee, who was only 18 years old at the time of the incident, was working at Disneyland Park's America Sings attraction where her role was to greet customers as they got onto the ride.The attraction had just been re-opened after almost a year following a revamp, with the location previously being home to The Carousel of Progress.However, just like its predecessor, the attraction featured an outer ring of six seating areas that rotated around a stationary center that housed multiple stages.Stone was said to be standing to the left of the stage while she welcomed the Disneyland guests over a microphone but just after the ride started, the teenager moved too close to the rotating theater wall and the non-moving stage wall and was crushed to death between them.Eyewitnesses at the scene recalled hearing loud screaming but at first, they thought it was just part of the attraction before they alerted other staff members of the incident.At the time, The Los Angeles Times reported that "she died at 11:00 PM during a 45-second interval when the audience had left her theater and it was moving into position to start a new cycle."It was also reported that Stone was the first-ever employee death at the park while four other visitors had died since it first opened.Stone's family allegedly filed a lawsuit against the park after the incident and received a "small settlement" in return.A still taken of Disneyland in Anaheim, CA in 1956. An Orthodox Christian group has called for a same-sex sports romance TV show to be banned because of the content it contains. Of course, it’s unlikely that the streaming services will allow that, since it’s been a smash hit. Heated Rivalry is definitely getting people heated… in different ways The show is called Heated Rivalry and it is a Canadian series that is now available to watch right now on various broadcasters around the world. It’s been very popular indeed, with people around the world drawn into the story of two ice hockey players - one Canadian, one Russian - who fall in love despite being on opposing teams. Based on the best-selling book by Rachel Reid, the series has fans everywhere captured, as it tells the story of how the two men are hiding a secret romance from the world despite seemingly being engaged in a bitter public rivalry. The original work was such a hit that it’s hardly a surprise to see it adapted for the screen, and it’s even less of a surprise that it has been a success - in fact, season two has already been confirmed.However, it is also unsurprising that the limited series has drawn criticism from certain organizations that aren’t happy with the level of LGBTQI+ representation on show. It’s not hard to believe where they’d see the problem here, not just because a Russian character is involved as well. The group made an announcement last week calling upon the Prosecutor General’s Office and Russian media regulator Roskomnadzor to remove the series from streaming platforms. You wouldn’t bet against their plan being successful, either. The Supreme Court in Russia announced that the ‘international LGBT movement’ around the world was an ‘extremist organization’ and the State Duma has also banned ‘LGBT propaganda’ and displays of homosexuality, particularly promoting it. Speaking to local media, the group’s chairman Georgy Soldatov said: "Heated Rivalry is a Canadian series where the main characters openly propagate pederasty."It’s hard to imagine how it was released on Russian online platforms."The series is full of sodomite sex scenes. “Russia already has a mortality rate higher than its birth rate, and yet we allow our youth to be shown propaganda of unnatural debauchery."Heated Rivalry has been a runaway success. An independent autopsy commissioned by the family of Renee Good, the 37-year-old woman fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis earlier this month, has revealed disturbing new details about her injuries.The autopsy, conducted by a highly respected medical pathologist, showed that Good suffered three clear gunshot wounds, including one to her head, her family’s attorneys confirmed, NBC News reported.According to the lawyers, the mom was struck by gunfire in three separate locations, and it was the third shot that killed her. The date for her execution was recently set for September 30. She would become the first woman executed in Tennessee for over 200 years. Pike's suit, filed on January 8, is against Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti, the Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Correction Frank Strada, and the wardens of Riverbend Maximum Security Prison and Debra K.
