Prince Harry apologizes to Canada after fans spotted what he was wearing during World Series: Explains why he did it

Prince Harry has offered an apology to Canada after being seen wearing a Los Angeles Dodgers cap at a World Series game between the Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays. The Duke of Sussex, who was attending the game with his wife Meghan, admitted to feeling somewhat pressured into wearing the Dodgers hat. He explained that his choice of headgear was made under less-than-ideal circumstances, joking about the lack of options and his own hair situation.

Harry and Meghan were spotted at the event on Tuesday, where the Blue Jays were defeated by the Dodgers in a decisive seventh game.

The Duke shared his thoughts on the matter during an interview with Canadian broadcaster CTV, where he confessed his "apology" to Canadians for supporting the Dodgers, acknowledging that he had been "under duress" when it came to selecting the hat.

Why Prince Harry wore the Dodgers cap

Harry explained that he was invited by the Dodgers' owner to the team's dugout, which led him to feel it was "the polite thing to do" to wear the team's merchandise. "Firstly, I would like to apologise to Canada for wearing it," Harry said during the interview. "Secondly, I was under duress. There wasn't much choice."

He added that, given his hair situation, he was more than willing to wear any available hat, especially while sitting under floodlights. He joked, "When you're missing a lot of hair on top, and you're sitting under floodlights, you'll take any hat that's available."

The Duke also expressed his sadness at the Blue Jays’ loss, saying he was "devastated" by the outcome of the game. He confirmed that while attending the event, he remained loyal to the Blue Jays, even wearing a Toronto Blue Jays cap during the interview.
