In a statement to the AFP, prosecutors said:
"Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor was the subject of a hearing by the gendarmerie services."
The statement gave no further details of the alleged offenses, but several media outlets have reported that the incident took place at a local bar.
A representative for the UFC star has reportedly told TMZ: "Conor Mcgregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct.
"He has been interviewed and released."

Of course, this isn't the first time the 'Notorious One' has had run-ins with the law.
Back in March of last year, he was arrested by Miami police for allegedly smashing a fan's phone outside of a hotel. The charges against him were later dropped.
In addition, in April 2018, McGregor handed himself into the police after being recorded smashing a window of a tour bus of UFC rival Khabib Nurmagomedov at the Barclays Center.
