Brazilian adult performer Anna Beatriz Pereira Alves, better known by her stage name Anna Polly, has died after falling from a hotel balcony while reportedly filming an X-rated scene with two men. She was 27.
The incident occurred on January 23 at an aparthotel in Nova Iguaçu, a city in Rio de Janeiro state. Authorities said they were called to the scene after a woman’s body was found in the hotel courtyard, per PEOPLE.
Police launch investigation into adult star’s death
According to local reports, Anna Polly was in the middle of filming an explicit scene when she fell from the balcony. The two men present during the shoot were questioned by police but later released.
Officials from the Baixada Fluminense Homicide Unit confirmed that investigators are reviewing hotel CCTV footage, interviewing staff, and analyzing the performer’s phone for any evidence that could clarify the events leading to her death.
Per The Sun, police said they are thoroughly investigating the incident and treating it as a complex case. Authorities are not ruling out any possibilities, including both accidental causes and potential criminal activity.

Boyfriend and friends pay tribute
Anna’s boyfriend, Pedro Henrique, who was not involved in the filming, said he is cooperating with police and hopes the investigation will reveal the truth.
He told local media that police are already in possession of all the relevant information and are actively investigating. He added that if anyone is responsible, they will be held accountable and identified.
In an emotional message shared online, Henrique expressed how hard it has been to cope with the loss, saying the pain is growing deeper as time passes.
