As somebody who has been fortunate enough to visit Hawaii, I can confirm that it is even more beautiful and wholesome than you would ever imagine.
From tropical weather to breathtaking landscapes to some of the greatest people I have ever met, Hawaii is the sort of place many of us could only dream of living.
And as well as being the only island state in the US, one TikTokker has revealed a few more surprising facts about Hawaii that make it the ultimate place to live.
The 16-year-old - who goes by the name Pono on the video-sharing platform - has stunned his 84.8K followers by listing these enviable facts in a video that has amassed over 6.7 million views.

So, here's Pono's list...
1. Hawaii has no snakes, except in its zoos
This may be unthinkable to some Americans, but this is technically true. Due to the fact that snakes have no natural predators in the island chain, they are considered a risk to the environment.
Of course, there are some snakes dotted around outside of zoos, but these serpents are illegal.
2. No billboards
Now, this is technically true - billboards are illegal in Hawaii. However, there are three other states that have also banned billboards - these are Vermont, Alaska, and Maine.
3. No ethnic majority
Another true fact from Pono. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there is no race that makes up more than 50% of the population in Hawaii. In fact, the most recent census reveals that Asians make up the largest group at 37.6%.
4. Hawaii is a "rabies-free state"
Again, another spot-on claim from Pono. According to the Hawaiian government's health website:
"Hawaii is the only state in the United States that is free of rabies and all dogs and cats entering the state must follow import rabies quarantine requirements. Cases of the disease in Hawaii have all been infected through exposures outside of the state."
5. No Daylight Savings Time
Once a year, so many of us are thankful for that extra hour in bed (and then disappointed when we have to put the clocks forward), but in Hawaii, nobody changes their clocks. As Pono states, Hawaii is so close to the equator that there is no need to changes to.
In fact, the only other state that doesn't accommodate for daylight savings time is Arizona.
And, naturally, people in the comments section only fell in love with Hawaii more after hearing these facts:
