The haunting "turning point" prediction blind mystic Baba Vanga made for 2025 continues to stir speculation.

Vanga, also known as Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, was a blind Bulgarian clairvoyant widely known for her alleged powers of foresight.

The late mystic, who lost her sight at the age of 12 in a strange event she described as being swept up by a tornado, rose to fame as the “Nostradamus of the Balkans,” attracting celebrities and Tsars to her mountain home in Kozhuh for guidance.

Before she died in 1996, she reportedly predicted a wide range of global events, including the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the death of Princess Diana, and the 2004 tsunami that devastated South and Southeast Asia.

Nearly three decades later, her 2025 forecasts are capturing fresh attention.

Among the predictions is the claim that Europe would be consumed by a “major conflict,” with her words stating: "A war in the East will begin, and there will be a Third World War. A war in the East that will destroy the West," per Metro.

But that’s not all - Vanga also foresaw revolutionary advances in medical science, particularly around growing organs in laboratories.

Perhaps most startling is her prophecy that Earth would make contact with extra-terrestrial life for the first time - during a major sporting event.

While the FIFA Men’s Club World Cup and UEFA Women’s Euros have come and gone without incident, several global competitions remain this year, including the Women’s Rugby World Cup, the Men’s Ashes series, and the World Athletics Championships.

That means the window is still wide open for a life-changing alien encounter.

Adding fuel to the fire, Brazilian mystic Athos Salomé, nicknamed the "Living Nostradamus," has echoed Vanga’s forecast, suggesting the James Webb Telescope could finally reveal alien life in 2025.

“Thanks to the James Webb telescope, humanity might finally get the answer to the existence of alien life, while governments like the US may declassify UFO files,” Salomé told the Daily Mail. “If true, these discoveries could revolutionise one's view about the universe in which we exist - and about ourselves.”

To add to this, Harvard researchers have identified comet 31/ATLAS, expected to pass Earth in October, as a possible alien probe.

“The hypothesis in question is that [31/ATLAS] is a technological artefact, and furthermore has active intelligence,” they penned. “If this is the case, then two possibilities follow: first, that its intentions are entirely benign and second, they are malign.”

The comet’s flyby has reignited interest in Vanga’s long-dormant prediction.

Meanwhile, Salomé has warned that 2025 could also be the year “humanity may lose control of technology,” according to The Mirror.

While the year may usher in breakthroughs in AI, quantum computing, and medicine, he argues it also presents unprecedented risks.
