A furious Newsmax host cut off a veteran after he suggested that Donald Trump shares some of the blame for the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan.
The heated discussion saw Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield cut off army veteran Joe Saboe because he suggested that the way the US withdrew from Afghanistan was, in part, the fault of Donald Trump.
The pair had been discussing Saboe's group, Digital Dunkirk, who are working to help Americans. However, the host took umbrage with the veteran when he refused to describe those left in Afghanistan as "hostages".
The host said: "I could tell you Joe, this didn't happen under President Trump and I know that a lot of people on the Left want to try to blame Trump. He wanted out of Afghanistan, real bad. He was frustrated...
"I've got Americans there that are stuck, so to me, that is a hostage situation."
To which, Saboe said: "We followed this closely for multiple administrations, and we know that the Trump’s administration’s efforts here were fairly weak, that they were trying to limit the number of people that would get out."
But this mere suggestion was enough for the host to shout at his producer and ask him to cut the veteran off.
He screamed: "You're not gonna blame this on President Trump on my show! That's not happening!"
The footage did not go unnoticed on Twitter, and at the time of writing, it has been viewed over 67,000 times, with many Twitter users weighing in on the incident.
Reacting to the footage, one Twitter user wrote: "To some extent the host is right when said 'the Biden administration screwed this up' I mean yeah he didn't have to follow up on Trump’s disastrous withdrawal plan."
A second added: "Trump negotiated directly with the Taliban on the withdrawal of US forces... President Biden saw it through... 'It is what it is' quoting Trump directly here."
A third wrote: "Funny. I just participated in a survey asking if I thought men's behavior was dictated by logic and reason versus women's behavior being dictated by emotion, and then I watch this man blow his top when another man starts a sentence with 'To be fair'."
Another person shared the video, along with the caption: "MAGAs want free speech, but not if you criticize Trump. Newsmax host yells at guest then throws him off the show mid-segment when he dares to suggest Trump shares some blame for Afghan withdrawal."
Stinchfield has since shared the footage himself to Twitter, writing alongside it: "When someone comes on the @newsmax show and blames Pres. Trump for @joebiden's Afghanistan disaster. #truthbombs #maga #afghanistan #trump2024".
