Tragic details emerge as food influencer Michael Duarte dies in 'horrible incident'
Michael Duarte, a popular influencer chef known by his online persona "FoodWithBearHands," tragically died in a "horrible accident" while traveling with his family in Texas.
Duarte, who gained a significant following for his BBQ and grilling videos, was killed just three days after celebrating his wedding anniversary. His passing has left many fans, friends, and family in shock.
The chef, who amassed over two million followers on social media, had built a reputation for his culinary creativity and warm presence. His Instagram bio stated: "my purpose is to share to the world food to people who need it the most." Duarte's untimely death has deeply affected those close to him, especially his wife and young child.
Family and colleagues remember a beloved man
Duarte's family confirmed the news of his death and described him as a "loving" husband and father, as well as a "great" friend to many.
His talent agency, Alooma Media Group, also paid tribute to the chef. "It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our valued client and dear friend, Michael Duarte," they said in an emotional statement. "He was a true & loyal partner, a trusted collaborator, and above all, a remarkable person."
The agency further emphasized Duarte’s significant impact, saying: "His passion, professionalism, and creativity left a lasting mark not only on our team but on everyone who had the privilege of working with him."
Support for family during difficult time
Following Duarte's death, a GoFundMe page was set up to assist his family with funeral expenses. The page described the situation as a heartbreaking shock, mentioning how his wife, Jessica, now faces the financial burden of returning him to California for burial. "This heartbreak came without warning, leaving Jessica to incur the expense of bringing him back home to California and covering funeral expenses."
"During this time, and in the months/years ahead, we want to make sure that Jessica and Oakley are taken care of as Michael would have wanted them to be," the GoFundMe stated, urging support for his grieving family.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be determined, with the family planning to share details at a later date. Duarte’s loved ones expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support during this challenging time.
