Stormy Daniels ordered to pay Donald Trump $122K in legal fees

Stormy Daniels has just been ordered to pay Donald Trump $122,000 in legal fees just hours after he was arraigned in a Manhattan court.

The 44-year-old adult film actress is widely known to have accused the 76-year-old former POTUS of paying her a large sum of hush money to remain silent about their alleged extramarital affair.

After several years of investigating Trump over the alleged payment, the Manhattan District Attorney's office submitted evidence to a New York grand jury that it says shows that the former US leader's lawyer, Michael Cohen, made a $130,000 payment to Daniels around the end of his client's 2016 presidential campaign.

When Trump reimbursed Cohen, the record for the payment stated it was for legal fees.

As such, Trump was formally charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records, which he pleaded not guilty to on Tuesday (April 4). He has vehemently denied any and all charges against him.

However, Trump already appears to have had a legal win after a New York court ordered that Daniels pay Trump's $121,972 legal fees that stem from a 2018 defamation lawsuit she filed against him that was subsequently dismissed, the New York Post details. She reportedly owes him a further $300,000 that she was ordered to pay Trump after the lawsuit's dismissal.

Evidently, Trump was happy with the news, as he took to his social media platform Truth Social to write: "[Manhattan District Attorney] Alvin Bragg shut down New York City, brought in 38,000 NYPD officers, and will spend an estimated $200,000,000 of NYC funds, for a totally legal $130,000 NDA. On top of all that, the 9th Circuit Court just awarded me $122,000 - over the $500,000 already awarded, from Stormy 'Horseface' Daniels!"

Daniels has claimed that an anonymous man threatened her following a 2011 interview she did with In Touch magazine, where she admitted that she'd had an affair with Trump in 2006. According to Daniels, the man told her to leave Trump and the story alone, before adding (in reference to Daniels' young daughter): "That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom." The interview never made it to print, per the Daily Mail.

The billionaire businessman has accused Daniels of completely fabricating the story and lying about her experience with Trump.

Donald Trump Jr took to Twitter to voice his support for his father amid his unfolding legal battle, writing: "BREAKING!!! the 9th Circuit just awarded Trump $121,962.56 in attorney fees from Stormy Daniels. Order just released. This in addition to the roughly $500k she already owes him."

He then continued, in reference to her popular merchandise: "LOL glad she's out there saying her T-shirt sales are booming she'll be able to afford to pay Trump!"

After her original lawsuit against Trump was dismissed, Daniels vowed to defy the ruling and not pay the former Apprentice host any money, writing on Twitter: "I will go to jail before I pay a penny."
