The statement, shared with the media following the rock icon’s death, read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
"He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” It was signed by Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis.
Notably missing from the signatories were Jessica Osbourne and Elliot Kingsley, Ozzy’s daughter and adopted son from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
Their omission raised questions on social media about whether the two were present during their father’s final moments or had chosen to remain out of the public eye during the announcement.
Osbourne, who rose to global fame as the lead singer of Black Sabbath, passed away just weeks after performing at what was billed as his final concert, Back to the Beginning at Villa Park in Birmingham. The show reunited him with original Black Sabbath bandmates and drew fans from around the world.
Ozzy had six children in total: three with Sharon (Aimee, Kelly, and Jack) and three from his relationship with Thelma Riley. Louis Osbourne is Ozzy’s biological son with Riley, while Elliot Kingsley is her son from a previous relationship, whom Ozzy adopted, per Page Six.
Jessica and Elliot have largely remained outside of the public eye throughout their lives, rarely appearing alongside their more public-facing siblings.
Following the announcement of Ozzy’s death, Jessica reportedly reposted a message confirming his passing and wrote “RIP Ozzy” on Instagram, according to The Mirror. Meanwhile, Louis Osbourne changed his profile photo to a black image in a sign of mourning.

It remains unclear whether Jessica or Elliot were present at Welders House, Ozzy’s Buckinghamshire estate, at the time of his death. The family has not commented further on who was physically present during his final hours.
The circumstances surrounding Ozzy’s passing have drawn considerable public interest, not only due to his iconic status in music but also because of his complex family dynamics.
Nonetheless, the tone of tributes from all corners has remained one of respect and admiration for a figure widely regarded as a pioneer in heavy metal.
