Ozzy Osbourne’s death certificate lists him as having a truly unique job title
Ozzy Osbourne's death certificate immortalises him as a legend, with a job title that the man himself would be proud of.
Ozzy, who had battled ongoing health problems including Parkinson’s disease, died on July 22, aged 76.
Despite his health issues, Ozzy continued to perform to the very end, bringing down the house at Villa Park in Birmingham during his final gig.
Seated on his iconic black bat throne, he delivered unforgettable renditions of hits like Crazy Train and Mama, I’m Coming Home.
Ozzy’s last performance took place at the Back to the Beginning event, where he reunited with Black Sabbath’s original lineup for the first time in 20 years, sharing the stage with rock legends like Metallica’s James Hetfield and Slipknot’s Corey Taylor.
The concert raised money for charity, and Ozzy gave it his all, saying afterwards: “I knew it was my last, and I gave it everything.”
Ozzy’s death certificate revealed that he passed away from "acute myocardial infarction" — a heart attack — and "out of hospital cardiac arrest," with contributing factors including coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.
The certificate, seen by the Daily Star, lists Ozzy's profession as "rock legend", alongside "songwriter" and "performer".
Ozzy’s fans were quick to comment on his death certificate, with one writing on X: “Ha! Only Ozzy could pull that off."
His passing was followed by a public procession through Birmingham, where thousands lined the streets to honor the man who helped define heavy metal.
The procession concluded at Black Sabbath Bridge, a symbolic stop for the legendary figure.
Ozzy was then laid to rest near a lake on the grounds of his Buckinghamshire estate, after a private church service attended by family, close friends, and fellow musicians.
Among those who paid their respects were Black Sabbath bandmates Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward, as well as stars like Marilyn Manson, Zakk Wylde, Yungblud, and Sir Elton John.
The estate was adorned with his photos, and mourners were given one to keep as a memento. A family friend described the farewell as “a beautiful send-off.”
Fans and celebrities alike have poured out tributes to Ozzy following his death.
His daughter Kelly shared a deeply emotional post expressing her grief and gratitude for the outpouring of support: “I’ve sat down to write this a hundred times and still don’t know if the words will ever feel like enough… but from the bottom of my heart thank you.
"The love, support, and beautiful messages I’ve received from so many of you have truly helped carry me through the hardest moment of my life.”
She went on to describe how the support from others had helped her cope with the pain: “Grief is a strange thing – it sneaks up on you in waves- I will not be ok for a while – but knowing my family are not alone in our pain makes a difference.
"I am holding tight to the love, the light, and the legacy left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much – Kelly. #BirminghamForever #OzzyForever.”
