Jason Momoa made a touching admission just before Ozzy Osbourne's death, after getting to spend the day with him at his final show.
The world lost a rock icon on July 22, when Ozzy passed away at age 76 — but in the weeks leading up to his death, the heavy metal pioneer experienced a powerful full-circle moment in his beloved hometown of Birmingham.

Just over two weeks before his death, Ozzy returned to the stage one last time for the “Back to the Beginning” concert — a farewell show that marked his first performance with Black Sabbath in two decades.
And watching that final triumph unfold from up close was actor Jason Momoa, who hosted the event.
"I'm not going to lie to you — my month has been like bang, bang, bang, bang. July has been amazing," Momoa told PEOPLE during a press stop for his Apple TV+ series Chief of War, just four days before Ozzy's passing.
"To be at Sabbath, that's 13-year-old Jason going, like, 'Wow.' Hanging out with all my music rock gods and different friends — it's just pinch me. The come down is going to be brutal."
The farewell concert, held at Birmingham’s Villa Park, saw Ozzy take the stage seated on a black throne — a concession to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he was diagnosed with in 2003.
Still, the emotion was palpable as he addressed the crowd, saying: “It’s so good to be on this stage.”
Backed by Black Sabbath, the legendary frontman rolled through a powerhouse set that included 'War Pigs,' 'N.I.B.', 'Iron Man,' and 'Paranoid,' along with solo classics like 'I Don’t Know,' 'Mr. Crowley,' 'Suicide Solution,' 'Mama, I’m Coming Home,' and 'Crazy Train.'
The concert also featured appearances by other rock juggernauts, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Slayer.
Following the show, which Ozzy later announced will be released in theaters as a concert film next year, Momoa paid tribute on Instagram.
Posting a photo with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, he wrote: “Love you @ozzyosbourne. All my aloha @sharonosbourne and ohana. So grateful. RIP.”
The Osbourne family confirmed Ozzy’s death in a statement that read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.
He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time. — Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”
Ozzy’s final performance, delivered just weeks before his passing, was a profound goodbye not only to fans, but to a city that shaped him.
