Jaden Smith has spoken out following his father's altercation with Chris Rock at last night's Academy Awards.
It was the joke heard around the world, and unfortunately for Rock, the punchline wasn't what he was expecting.
At last night's 94th annual Academy Award ceremony, the 57-year-old comedian took to the stage to do his job: tell jokes about the stars in the audience.
However, after poking fun at Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz, the Everybody Hates Chris star briefly turned his attention to 50-year-old Jada Pinkett Smith.
"Jada, I love ya! G.I. Jane 2 - can't wait to see it," Rock said, drawing laughter from the crowd. The joke was seemingly a comment on Pinkett Smith's shaved head, which resembled Demi Moore's buzzcut from the 1997 movie, G.I. Jane.
Although Smith appeared the laugh at the joke at first, Jada's disapproval was immediately apparent, as she rolled her eyes and turned away from the stage. Seconds later, husband Will took to the stage, approached Rock, and slapped him across the face.
An uncensored video of the moment can be seen below (Warning - strong language):"Oh wow," Rock said, as the crowd started to hush. "Will Smith just smacked the s*** out of me."
After returning to the stage, Smith then starts to shout at Rock, saying: "Keep my wife's name out of your f***ing mouth!"
Following the incident, Will and Jada's son - Jaden - took to social media to comment on the heated moment.
The actor-turned-rapper shared a simple six-word tweet that read: "And That’s How We Do It".
In a second tweet - which has since been deleted - Jaden shared a photo of himself along with the caption: "My Dads Speech Made Me Cry [sic]".

Later in the evening, Smith would go on to win the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in King Richard.
During his speech, he offered an apology to the Academy, saying: "I want to apologize to the Academy, I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees.
"This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying for winning an award. It’s not about winning an award for me. It’s about being able to shine a light on all of the people."
Smith also appeared to allude to his on-stage moment with Rock several times during his speech, at one point mentioning how his character of Richard Williams was a "fierce defender" of his family.
"Richard Williams was a fierce defender of his family," Smith said - a comment that drew commotion from the audience. "In this time in my life, in this moment, I am overwhelmed by what God is calling on me to do and be in this world," he added.
Smith then said: "I know to do what we do, you gotta be able to take abuse, and you gotta be able to have people talk crazy about you. In this business, you gotta be able to have people disrespecting you and you gotta smile and you gotta pretend like that‘s OK."
He also told the audience: "Art imitates life. I look like the crazy father, just like they said. I look like the crazy father just like they said about Richard Williams. But love will make you do crazy things."
