Fans spot touching detail in Selena Gomez wedding photo after tying knot with Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez is officially a married woman. The singer and actress tied the knot with music producer Benny Blanco in Santa Barbara on 27 September, surrounded by friends, family, and a seriously star-studded guest list.

The couple, who announced their engagement in December 2024 after a year of dating, went all out for their big day. The weekend kicked off with a rehearsal dinner at a private mansion in Santa Barbara’s exclusive Hope Ranch community before the pair exchanged vows at the scenic Sea Crest Nursery. Around 170 guests attended the ceremony, which was set among lush greenery and hosted under elegant white tents built for the celebrations.

Naturally, Gomez’s close friends and collaborators turned up in full force. Taylor Swift was in attendance, alongside Paul Rudd and Selena’s Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Park, and even her Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie also joined the festivities, according to Vogue. Gomez had previously teased that Short might give a speech and Martin could break out his banjo – though fans will have to wait for confirmation on whether that actually happened.

As for the fashion, the bride looked breathtaking in a custom Ralph Lauren gown: a hand-draped halter-neck satin dress with delicate embroidery, a low wrapped back, and a flowing silk train. Photographer Petra Collins, one of Gomez’s longtime collaborators, captured the look in a series of elegant shots that were later posted to Gomez's Instagram. Blanco kept things classic in a sharp black tuxedo, also by Ralph Lauren, while Gomez’s diamond-and-platinum Tiffany & Co. earrings added the finishing touch.

A touching detail

But while fans couldn’t get enough of the dress, hair, and glam, it was the bride’s bouquet that stole hearts online. Gomez walked down the aisle carrying lily of the valley, a flower that symbolizes “the return to happiness.” For many fans, the choice felt especially meaningful given the star’s well-documented ups and downs in love.

“She really got her happy ending,” one fan commented, while another added: “She finally found happiness."

The sweet floral detail felt like the perfect complement to the moment, especially as Gomez celebrated this new chapter with Blanco, with whom she has both a personal and professional history. The pair first worked together years ago on hits like 'Same Old Love' and 'Kill Em With Kindness' – during Gomez's on-and-off-again relationship with Justin Bieber – before reuniting for 2019’s 'I Can’t Get Enough'. Most recently, they dropped their collaborative album I Said I Love You First earlier this year.

Their engagement announcement (complete with a six-carat marquise diamond ring) had already sparked plenty of buzz, and now their wedding has only solidified them as one of pop culture’s most talked-about couples.

From a star-studded guest list to the symbolic bouquet, Gomez’s wedding day was both glamorous and deeply personal. And for fans, it was clear: the Rare Beauty founder has finally found her “return to happiness.”
