A TikTok star who documented her journey after being diagnosed with lymphoma has sadly died.
Stacey Pentland, a 37-year-old mother of four who amassed an impressive following of 200,000 on TikTok, passed away on November 18, it was announced in a video posted on her account.
Set to Christina Perri's track 'Remember Me', the video features a black and white photo of the content creator with red text announcing her tragic passing.
The text reads: "It is with great sadness that I have to tell you that our beautiful Stacey passed away this afternoon at 20 to 2. Can I ask that you respect the family's privacy at this difficult time?"
Since it was posted on November 17, the heartbreaking post has accumulated more than 955,000 views, 103,000 likes, and nearly 41,000 comments at the time of writing.
Needless to say, Stacey's fans have been left devastated by the news and have taken to the comments to lament the loss of a doting mother.
Alongside a rose emoji, one fan wrote: "Aww those little videos each day with be sadly missed. No more pain, anxiety & suffering for the beautiful woman I never met but felt like I knew. [sic]"
Another wrote: "I hope she wasnt frightened at the end I know she kept saying she was n had bad anxiety someone I'll never forgt u made a inprint on my heart. [sic]"
A third penned: "I can't find the words to say how absolutely heartbroken, I think this has left a lot of people here on this app. You are no longer in pain. You are and always will be an incredible human being. Stacey's family if you are reading this, I am so so sorry!"
