To be the father of the bride can be an emotional day, but one dad has gone viral for causing a lot of laughter.
A wedding day is often a costly but joyous occasion, and everyone hopes that nothing goes wrong.
While some things can derail the day, other smaller blunders can create hilarious memories for those in attendance.

When 30-year-old Brooke McQueen's wedding took place on May 23 in Austin, Texas, her dad, Bob Williams, 57, proudly made his way down the grassy aisle.
But there was one small issue... He forgot the bride.
“It’s a surreal feeling walking down the aisle on your wedding day — a rush of emotions. Honestly, my dad’s innocent mistake lifted a huge weight off my shoulders during a moment I was originally nervous for,” McQueen told PEOPLE.
“So instead of tearing up while walking down the aisle, I found myself laughing instead!”
The blunder was caught on camera by photographer Lucy Struve, who filmed Williams strolling happily on his solo march. At the end of the aisle, it was McQueen’s mother who had to remind him of his most important role: walking alongside the bride.
With the help of vendors and a flower girl who “may or may not have gotten a little nervous [but] kept the ball rolling and stole the show,” the ceremony quickly recovered.
Williams hurried back to collect his daughter, and the pair walked arm-in-arm the second time around. The 150 guests burst out laughing at the mix-up, and McQueen says she couldn’t blame them.
“In a moment so full of emotion, that little mix-up instantly eased my nerves, made me laugh, and reminded me not to take it all too seriously,” she said.
The bride admitted the mistake was surprising for her dad, who usually follows instructions carefully.
“My dad is someone who follows directions to a T, but this was his first time as father of the bride! The days after the wedding, when we were reliving the big day, we chalked it up to nerves.”
In the end, the walk was still everything she had dreamed of.
McQueen said: “As someone who had been envisioning their wedding day for as long as I can remember, sharing that moment with my father was everything I imagined it to be! Except even better, because he got the crowd warmed up before it was our time to shine as dad and daughter!”

The behind-the-scenes comedy didn’t just stay with the family. Struve shared the clip on TikTok in August with the caption, “pov: your dad skipped the wedding rehearsal and walked down the aisle solo.” She later joked in another caption: “It’s the walk of shame back up the aisle for me.”
Since the family skipped a rehearsal due to traveling from out of town, the mistake didn’t come as a complete shock. Struve’s video, set to the trending “nothing beats a Jet2 holiday” audio, quickly went viral, pulling in over 1.3 million views and 250,000 likes.
Now, McQueen and her husband, Conner, 31, look back on the mishap as a moment that made their wedding even more special.
