A model shelled out a staggering amount of money to travel to the Caribbean for butt enhancement surgery... but claims the implants later fell out.

Chelsea Robinson, a 29-year-old model and self-described businesswoman, learned the hard way that chasing perfection can come with unexpected and horrifying consequences.

In a now-viral episode of ITV’s Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection, Chelsea opened up about the procedure that nearly broke her, sharing how a gym session turned a dream surgery into a total nightmare.

“Six years ago, I went to the Dominican Republic because I heard that they were the best at doing bum implants,” she told Olivia. “But then, when I got back from there, I went to the gym. I was squatting in the gym, and I felt something.

“My leg went all tingly, and I felt something come out. My implant was hanging.”

Chelsea described the ordeal as “horrendous,” explaining that the implant had slipped out from under her muscle - an extremely rare, but real risk of gluteal augmentation procedures.

“If I knew all the ins and outs, I would have never got the bum implants because that was the worst, absolute worst journey I've ever been through, and it wasn't worth it.”

According to Westlake Dermatology, what Chelsea experienced can happen when the tissue pocket created for the implant is too large, allowing the implant to shift around excessively.

This leads to unnatural shaping and often requires costly revision surgery to correct.

For Chelsea, those fixes didn’t come cheap. She has now spent a staggering £63,000 - around $85,000 - on corrective procedures for her bum alone.

In the same episode, Chelsea underwent her fourth breast augmentation, shelling out nearly £8,000 ($10,831) for two implants that weigh almost 1kg each - the largest available at the London clinic she visited.

Reflecting on her long history with cosmetic enhancement, Chelsea admitted: “I was quite eager and as soon as I turned 18, I was booked straight away to get my boobs done.”

Looking back at photos from before her first surgery, she sighed, “I look so ugly there. There's just no definition anywhere, there's no boobs, there's no bum.”

Her entry into glamour modeling pushed her further toward the operating table.

“I kind of fell into lingerie modelling, but I felt like I wasn't competing with the other glamour models that I was seeing. I had no boobs, I had like an A-cup, so I wanted to look like everyone else," she said.

Since then, she's had three more breast surgeries, each one aiming to give her a “fuller” and “bigger” appearance. “All in all, I've definitely spent over £100,000, probably £105,000 ($142,000). It's been eleven years, and a pricey eleven years,” she admitted.

Even after everything - botched implants, corrective surgeries, and painful recoveries - Chelsea says she still feels the urge to tweak her appearance.

She concluded: “There's always something else you need, you want, or something that could make you look better. It's almost like adrenaline, and I feel like that's what you're chasing as well.”
