30 Pictures That Prove Your Pets Hate Christmas More Than Anything

Now, what's very amusing, other than the excellent image that likely stopped your either determined and focused or simply idle scrolling, is that the above actually appeared in another of these fabled, seasonal lists. If it works, it works.

However, that is indeed within the realm of Christmas past; sort of. We are gathered here today to witness not humans disliking or sabotaging the festive period but instead those we as dominant bipeds choose to live alongside to add a little variety to our lives. And no, I don't mean having the grandparents or inlaws staying over for what seems like an unending age, thankfully (well, we'll see) I am referring to animals we keep as pets no less!

Through living with us, our (most of the time) furry friends often take on and embody the traits we possess ourselves through our own sentience. This, apparently, is also the case for those who find Christmas tiresome.

Here we go...

[post_page_title] #1 At My Friend's Church, The Church Cat Has Evicted The Baby Jesus From The Manger [/post_page_title]

Ceremony and traditions echoed through the ages are often commonplace at Christmas time regardless of any religious faith, it's just one of the habitual habits and successfully gathers many a human this time of year. However, does EVERYONE enjoy it?

No, the answer is no.

[post_page_title] #2 Not Feline-Festive [/post_page_title]

Some are happier than others at Christmas, some are good at hiding their boredom and disdain, others are not. Here is a creature that is not.

Cats are incredibly open with their emotions, likes, and dislikes and I have to say, this four-legged furball is very much attuned and at peace with increasing Christmas-disdain. Purr-gatory.

[post_page_title] #3 On The First Day Of Christmas My True Love Said To Me "The Dog Is Inside Our Tree" [/post_page_title]

"I do not likes Christmas hooman, so I will hide in Christmas until Christmas is over - I have spoken".

Dog logic is excellent and these canines will often surprise you. Especially as this pooch could easily ruin Christmas with one sharp determined movement. Clever.

[post_page_title] #4 Cats Do Christmas... [/post_page_title]

As much as this was clearly a precaution via past experience, this is still very indicative of how pets can rule the roost with an iron claw/paw or baring of teeth!

The look on that face! - 'Christmas Tree For Cat Owners' - Indeed!

[post_page_title] #5 My Friend's Dog's Reaction After Finding Out That His Christmas Gift Was A Sweater [/post_page_title]

We all know how to feign delight and surprise at receiving gifts we may not want, already have or simply did not expect. That is, we as humans, count some among our number that are really very good at it. Canines though? Not so adept.

This poocherino, however, is not good at it. At all. Look at that face, a jumper was absolutely not what this woofer wanted.

This is equivalent of receiving the same gift-box of deodorant every year isn't it really!

[post_page_title] #6 My Cat Ripped Open All The Presents Christmas Morning [/post_page_title]

"Steve - I can hear something downstairs... wait, WHERE'S THE CAT!" - "Sarah - don't come down here".

Surprise Motherfluffer.

[post_page_title] #7 'We Should Get A Family Photo This Year!' [/post_page_title]

The above words are some often uttered and by 'often' I mean more times than are calculable this time of year. I should think that most of the time or at least a proportionally high amount of those precious finite minutes, it actually works out.

This is exactly how I would react and I am not nor never will be ashamed at admitting that. Ruin well, petty boiis.

[post_page_title] #8 Merry Christmas Ya' Filthy Animal [/post_page_title]

The way this writing deal works on these lists is that I semi-relevantly...

... waffle on for a bit about something loosely relevant to the subject at hand or the very images I am embedding and showcasing. What are you are currently reading is said waffle.

However, in reality, nothing really needed to be said here, did it?.

[post_page_title] #9 I Tried To Take A Cute Christmas Photo Holding My Dog... [/post_page_title]

"Human - Hello, what are we doing toda- no, no I've said no, please no!"

Sadly, much like this dog many of us can't escape the repetitive Christmas staples that plague our again, finite minutes on this year on an annual basis.

Solidarity with you my furry friend, I truly hope you were left alone to do "dog things: shortly after this debacle! Stay strong!

[post_page_title] #10 Festive Hindsight May Not Be As Beautiful As The Moment Itself [/post_page_title]

Now, here I wish for you to scroll just a little, for the second half of this double-barrelled photo is so pure in shock factor that you will never look at cats or Christmas trees again in the same way. Are you ready, scroll, take in, think on it and then prepare for that sense of familiarity to morph into terror.

Yes, that is what you thought it was.

[post_page_title] #11 A Look Of Resignation So Pure [/post_page_title]

Ina tiem where it oftens feels like you HAVE to enjoy Christmas and that if you don't you are left as some sort of social pariah, it is smetimes the case that we must do what mist be done. For the greater good.

For the greater good. This Cat's absolute look of resignation is one I resonate with and one that many others will also beat their fist in their chest to in solidarity!

[post_page_title] #12 Imagine Hating Christmas and All It Stands For. That and Mortal Enemies [/post_page_title]

Tolerating the people you normally manage to avoid all year is a global Christmas tradition. However, sometimes on this unavoidable annual occasion, it can simply be too much to handle...

So, not only did this feline wish to be nowhere near Christmas, it also had to suffer posing with not only its overlords but its sworn enemy! Yeesh!

[post_page_title] #13 Got My Cat A Bed For Christmas! [/post_page_title]

This cat clearly tolerates Christmas to a point and that's very grown-up of it. However, like most who have suffered this festive season begrudgingly for so long, there is always that possibility that you will snap, or at the very least, passive-aggressively take a stand.

This cat has absolutely nailed it.

[post_page_title] #14 I’m Wishing You Another Year Of Laughter, Joy And Fun, Love And Happiness [/post_page_title]

Here we are again, the very image that brought you here.

Cats are predators, lest that ever be forgotten and they are coming for you, Christmas. They are coming.

[post_page_title] #15 I Guess Christmas Is Over [/post_page_title]

*CRASH*

I have spoken.

[post_page_title] #16 Me And My Cat's Christmas Card Was Deemed "Sacrilegious" [/post_page_title]

Again, not for the first or last time we have the forced photo. They always get us in the end.

This cat may be stuck in a bind with no way of getting away from its posing totalitarian overlord but it can stare into the soul of the one capturing the image. I'd run if I were you...

[post_page_title]#17 Not Everyone Is As Excited About Christmas [/post_page_title]

To reiterate, sometimes, many of us feel that we simply don't have a choice but to get involved or at least show some sort of semblance of excitement or willingness to take part at this festive time of year.

This has been the case many times over years for myself and If an image was to capture this feeling, it is this one. Hold tight doggo.

[post_page_title]#18 Not So Into The Holiday Spirit [/post_page_title]

Some are far better than others at humoring the very people having the time of their lives to the same old same old.

Some are far worse than others at humoring the very people having the time of their lives to the same old same old.

[post_page_title]#19 Dressing Up For Christmas Photos Is Just As Embarrassing For Dogs As It Is For Kids [/post_page_title]

Dressing up, some love it, even unfathomably adore such playful escapism to the point of confusion beset on the faces anyone spectating. What makes this worse is that some smaller humans and legions of pets, really do not have a choice in the matter.

The embarrassment is real. Poor dog.

Dogs are people too!

[post_page_title]#20 Rudolph, The Pissed-off Chihuahua [/post_page_title]

I mean, if I were to change the title of this to something far more inline with severity and anger towards the festive period as a whole, this next image - alongside a few more from this particular list - would be center-stage.

The sheer rage on offer here from this tiny-quadruped is unparalleled and if I were this owner, I would not repeat the mistakes of this image ever, in a million future Christmases.

[post_page_title]#21 So My Friends Parents Recreated The Nativity Scene... [/post_page_title]

Facial expressions bark louder than a thousand howls.

Honestly, how on earth did the perpetrators of this ordeal not realize these hounds are really not the most festively minded.

They will have their revenge.

[post_page_title]#22 My Attempt At A Cute Christmas Picture Of My 13 Year Old Chow Mix, Samwise [/post_page_title]

This is less an example of a loved-one hating the Christmas period and more one of tedium trumping all attempts to tolerate and present a brave and proud furry face. Imagine, you've done so well, but you finally snap and in your limited energy you can only manage but a simply act.

But sometimes, just sometimes, that is all there is.

"This is what I think of your christmas, human".

[post_page_title]#23 I Put On Her Antlers And Set Her Under The Tree In Hopes Of Creating An Adorable Christmas Kitty Picture [/post_page_title]

"Oh yes human! The annual photo I can't wait! Place me! Place me!"

"Fooled again human, feed on my disdain".

[post_page_title]#24 Get A Cat They Said. It'll Be Fun They Said [/post_page_title]

Cats are very self-centered creatures who prefer the attention to either be entirely on themselves at any point they deem it necessary and at Christmas, there can be some sizable competition.

"NOTICE MEEEEEE".

[post_page_title]#25 So This Cat Helped With The Christmas Decorations [/post_page_title]

Once again, cats rule the roost, don't question it, it is the case.

Once again, the competition to the cat's kingdom in the month of December is populace and it often drives many cats to extreme lengths in order to get noticed.

[post_page_title] #26 Dog Jumped In Christmas Tree After Cat [/post_page_title]

This isn't really anything to do with animals disliking Christmas or having a time unpreferable to the norm but rather just getting on with it. "It" in this case, being wound up by the menacing cat.

Tree-ditions come in all shapes, sizes and temperaments.

Unless being the dastardly animals that they are, this cat's opinion of Christmas is so low that it is using this hound for its plans of ruination via its own blackened hatred; or something like that.

[post_page_title]#27 My Cat Can't Get Enough Of The Holidays [/post_page_title]

Here we are again, time for some semi-relevant waffle loosely tied into the prevailing theme, a prevailing theme itself focused on the festive season and how our pets are often not quite having the time we think them to be!

Same, cat. Same.

Willy is not one for being dangled it seems.

[post_page_title]#28 Garfi-new Year's Eve Memories [/post_page_title]

Christmas ties into the further festivities and celebrations of the new year. They are essentially one and the same and will often see much of the former still prominent while the previous year is contemplated.

This poor feline is sat there, staring into space remembering where it was sat the year before, hating its festive life while doing the same. It never ends and that face says it all.

[post_page_title]#29 And It Was Delicious  [/post_page_title]

This dog clearly felt nigh-on powerless to negate and overpower the festive period he disliked so much so he did the only thing he could do.

Destroyed it all.

[post_page_title]#30 Best Christmas Family Pic Ever! [/post_page_title]

I have so many questions and I feel as if I'm not the only one...

Clearly this cumbersome and seasoned hound is confused, but also resigned, he likely understands that chronologically in this final month of the year, that things are a little more festive and that he has to sit there and be a good boy but I will hazard a guess that he likely doesn't understand why.

It's ok my woofer, neither do I.

Just remember now, Christmas isn't for everyone...
