Tristan Thompson has apologized to Khloe Kardashian after a new paternity test revealed he fathered a baby boy with his personal trainer Maralee Nichols.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star's boyfriend - and the father of her daughter True - has found himself at the center of yet another cheating scandal.
In a major blow to Khloé, Tristan conceived the child while still being in a relationship with the reality TV star.
Nichols sued the NBA star for child support and pregnancy-related fees after giving birth to their child.
Court documents showed Thompson admitted to having sex with Nichols on his birthday in March last year while Thompson was dating Khloé, with whom he has a daughter named True.
Now, Thompson has issued a statement after the news came to light, as he took to his Instagram Story to publicly apologize to Khloé.
In a two-part statement, Thompson asked for forgiveness and publicly committed to co-parenting his son with Nichols.
"I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son," he wrote.
"I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately."
In a second Instagram story, Thompson apologized to Kardashian for the "heartache and humiliation" he caused her over the course of their fractured, tumultuous relationship which began in 2016.
"Khloe, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you," he wrote.
During the time that Thompson admits to having a sexual relationship with Nichols, he was publicly dating Kardashian, with whom he shares daughter True. He also has a son, Prince, 4, with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.
Khloe began her on/off relationship with Tristan in 2016 but suffered public humiliation when True arrived in February 2018, hours after rumors Tristan had cheated on her during her pregnancy - which he denied.
The NBA player appeared to kiss another woman at a New York City club in photos and a video obtained by the publication. Khloe was nine months pregnant with True at the time.
Later the same day, TMZ released footage of him kissing and touching two other women at a bar in Washington, D.C, in October of 2017.
The reality television star did not issue any comment immediately, but she welcomed the couple's child just three days later, on April 12th, 2018, at a hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Tristan was then frozen out by the reality star and her family after he kissed Kylie Jenner's former BFF Jordyn Woods at a house party in 2019.
