The Queen sends Meghan Markle a special message on her 39th birthday
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might have stepped back from their former roles as senior members of the Royal Family, but the Queen has still sent birthday wishes for Markle's 39th birthday.
A post on The Royal Family account reads: "Wishing The Duchess of Sussex a very happy birthday!"
The post was accompanied by a picture of Meghan and the Queen smiling together, and it was captioned: "The Queen and The Duchess are pictured during a joint visit to Chester in 2018."
In the picture, the Queen can be seen smiling while waving to crowds as Meghan looks directly into the camera, also smiling.

However, the Queen is not the only member of the Royal Family to acknowledge Meghan's 39th birthday, so too did Prince William and Kate.
An Instagram post from the Kensington Royal account this morning read: "Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today!"

Kate and William's birthday wish was accompanied by a picture of Meghan smiling while talking to a young girl.
Prior to deleting her social media before marrying Prince Harry, Meghan revealed in the now-deleted lifestyle blog The Tig that she uses her birthdays as a chance to make new resolutions for the upcoming year.
"My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year," Meghan wrote in 2016, per the Mirror.
"Your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead."
These Royal well-wishes come just a week before the tell-all book Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family is set to be released.
However, a spokesperson for the couple said in a statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not interviewed and did not contribute to 'Finding Freedom'.
This book is based on the authors' own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting."
