People are obsessed with Snoop Dogg's commentary of Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr.

As two legends of the sport fought out a draw that exceeded the expectations of many pundits and fighters in the build up, Snoop Dogg appears to have well and truly stolen the show with his outstanding commentary of the event.

Mike Tyson, 54, ended 15 years out of the ring to take on 51-year-old fellow all-time great Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout that managed to provide its fair share of entertainment despite pre-fight fears over the legitimacy of the event.

There were glimpses of the pair's former glories as Mike Tyson ploughed forward in trademark style, swaying from the hips and looking to land combinations, while Roy Jones Jr. looked to deploy his fluid footwork and body movement.

However, it was Snoop Dogg's commentary of the event that stole the show for many, with fans taking to Twitter in their droves to praise his irreverent take on events inside the ring.

ESPN pundit Stephen A Smith wrote, "Are y’all listening to my man @SnoopDogg call this fight. I don’t know about the rest of y’all, but I’m loving this. Snoop’s the most entertaining part of this fight. He’s doing fantastic."

Meanwhile, on the undercard of the event YouTuber Jake Paul knocked out former NBA point guard Nate Robinson inside two rounds.

However, the bout attracted strong criticism from some big names in boxing over concerns the contest was a total mismatch.

Amanda Serrano wrote on Twitter, "They need to STOP this Stupid Celebrity boxing thing. Boxing is a serious game. Nothing to be doing for YouTube likes. Most amateurs turning pro fight 4 rds these guys debuting in a 6 rdr. Someone’s going to get really Hurt one day. Not cool at All"

Former world super-flyweight champion Kal Yafai tweeted that it was "scary" that Nate Robinson had been licensed to fight in a professional bout.
