Paris Hilton says she felt shamed by Pink mocking her leaked tape in 'Stupid Girls' music video

Paris Hilton said that she felt shamed after Pink mocked her infamous sex tape during her 'Stupid Girls' music video.

Hilton opened up about the moment in a section of her latest self-titled memoir where she dives deeper into the details of her life, including being sexualized from a young age, abusive boarding schools as well as what it's like to be one of society's modern-day 'It Girls.'

However, the 42-year-old socialite couldn't move into the latter section of the book without discussing the notorious but highly controversial video that catapulted her into megastardom.

Originally recorded in 2002, but released on June 15, 2004, Hilton's ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon published a sex tape the pair had recorded. Pink's 'Stupid Girls' video aesthetic very specifically references the tape, which was filmed when Hilton was 19 years old.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new mother said she considered Pink “generous, evolved, and progressive” but was hurt by the reference in the video.

"When everyone was buzzing about a sex tape of a certain teenage girl from a soon-to-be-hit TV show - a girl who said emphatically over and over that she did not want the tape out there - the takeaway was 'Stupid Girl,'" an excerpt from the book reads.

"The whole video is a not-at-all-subtle send-up of 'porno paparazzi girls' in general and, specifically, me, in a parody of my infamous sex tape."

In the memoir, she also noted that she wasn't at the legal age to be served alcohol when the private video was filmed.

"[I] was not legally old enough to be served a rum and coke in a bar, was released and monetized against my will, but when that thing hit the internet, the full weight of public outrage, scorn, and disgust came down on me instead of on the massive crowd of people who bought and sold it."

And Pink wasn't the only one to mock the sex tape, as a 2004 episode of South Park - titled the 'Stupid Spoiled W***e Video Playset' - also made reference to it.

The episode's synopsis reads: "Disturbed by the corruptive influence Paris Hilton has on all little girls in South Park, one of the town's favorite citizens challenges her to a 'w***e-off.'"

Hilton shared her hurt at the episode, writing: "I’m the title character, but they also apply that epithet to Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Tara Reid, and all the little girls who were fans, which upset me more than anything ugly they could say about me.

"It also upset me that the episode graphically portrays Tinkerbell being shot and killed. The thought of that made me sick. I’ve been involved in some pretty edgy media, but I don’t even know where something like that comes from."
