Kim Kardashian makes staff wear 'color coordinated' uniforms to match her mansion
Unsurprisingly, Kim Kardashian has revealed that she makes her staff wear "color coordinated" uniforms to match her mansion in a recent interview.
The reality star and businesswoman's home has become renowned for its spotless neutral tones inside - no mean feat with four children running around - and it turns out the color scheme extends to her staff's clothing too.
The mom-of-four appeared on Angie Martinez's IRL podcast to discuss her life after her 2016 Paris robbery, and how she has mastered remaining calm mentally and emotionally in her daily life.
The interview took place in Kardashian's home office, where Martinez remarked that her employees were all color coordinated. Kim did confirm that this was indeed intentional.
"I have uniforms," she told Martinez before adding that her employees were not sporting uniforms per se, but were encouraged to wear a color palette. "Well, it's not like, 'Hey, this is like your uniform.' It's just color palettes," she said.
The SKIMS founder then explained the method to her madness, saying that she had initially put the idea to her employees who were apparently enthusiastic about it.
Given that her home is based on a neutral palette, Kim told Martinez that her staff wear clothes that include "grays, heather gray, black, navy, white, cream, khaki."
"Everyone actually said, 'That would make our lives so easy.' And once everyone was on board and thought it would be easier for them I was like, 'Yes, let's do this,'" Kim remarked.
Neutral tones are totally on-brand for the 42-year-old, who has garnered tons of social media interest for her choice of home decor at her $60 million mansion. While she likes the "calmness" of having a minimalistic neutral style in the home, she does allow her children to have their own color palettes for their respective bedrooms.
"I have the playroom, filled with clutter. Bedrooms, one is pink, one is purple, one is blue, one is dinosaurs. It's like each kid can have their full style and taste in their bedroom, but in the main house, I really like the calmness," she said.
Kim even admitted that she'd had her fleet of cars painted to match the interior of her home. "My house is grey and I wanted them to kind of match the house, so I did all grey cars," she revealed. Her fleet includes a Lamborghini Urus and a Rolls-Royce Ghost.
