A woman who is featured in the chilling new Netflix horror series True Haunting has spoken about how her experience on the show brought her to ‘breaking point’.
Mormon couple April Miller and Matt Wilson - along with their family - were the unlucky victims of this haunting, which features in the show’s two-part episode ‘This House Murdered Me’.
In a recent Reddit thread, a user claiming to be April outlined her journey to this point.
April Miller - the star of True Haunting episode ‘This House Murdered Me’
The story is a classic of the horror genre - a family of four move into a house and start to immediately regret that decision as strange things start happening.
The dark past of the house is there for all to see, and things unravel in a terrifying fashion.
That's before we get to the role their faith had in things - but more on that later.

Then, one of the family discovers a network of rooms hidden away, and more inexplicable things start to present themselves - doors slamming, ghostly children, the whole lot.
Sure, it’s scary to watch on TV - but what if it really happened to you?
That’s where April Miller comes in.
April lived in the house with her husband Matt, and she recently explained a bit about the show on Reddit.
She said that she was ‘glad they captured the truth and it wasn’t made up’ and opened up on her own experience filming the show.
True Haunting pushed her to ‘breaking point’
April went on to explain that the process of filming left her ‘vulnerable’ and leading her to ‘spill it all out’ on camera.
However, she felt she had an important story to tell, and needed to get it out there.
April wrote: “This was filmed for several weeks and most of the scenes were at the end of the day when I was at my breaking point.
“And there it is. Vulnerable all over the place."

“But it’s my truth, and I’m good, and I had to spill it all out to show the world I’m not afraid to speak my truth.
“Especially when controlled by the Mormon faith community.
“I never wanted to be placed in a box and told to be quiet.
“There are spirits that need help.
“And we helped them go to the light and now that is my passion to help people get the shadows out.
“Get their attention on their dreams and life, and stop living in the past and control.”
