John Goodman has shown off his svelte new figure after reportedly dropping over '200 pounds' in an incredible weight loss transformation.
The actor, 69, looked almost unrecognizable at the premiere of Tubi's new animated show, The Freak Brothers, on Monday night.
Known for starring in the beloved sitcom Roseanne, Goodman's weight has always fluctuated. At his heaviest, he reportedly weighed 400 pounds, according to the PageSix.
But in 2017 he overhauled his lifestyle and embarked on a healthy living regime that has seen him shed almost half his body weight.
Talking to ABC at the time, Goodman spoke about his new approach to dieting.
"In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a six-pack or whatever and just go back to my old habits," he said. "This time, I wanted to do it slowly. Move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore."
As well as adopting a Mediterranean-style diet that focuses on fish, olive oil, vegetables and nuts, the Flinstones actor has also taken on a personal trainer, Mackie Shilstone, who he praised for helping him get in shape.
In 2018, he even ditched booze and went teetotal as part of his new commitment to healthy living, The Mirror reports.
Goodman flaunted his slim new figure in jeans and an orange v-neck as he walked the red carpet on Monday night.
The premiere launched his new animated series, The Freak Brothers, in which he stars alongside Pete Davidson, Woody Harrelson, and Tiffany Haddish.
Based on Gilbert Shelton's 1970s comic strip The Fabulous Furry Freak Brother's, the cartoon follows three hippies and their sarcastic cat. After smoking a magical strain of marijuana, the gang fall asleep for 50 years and wake up in 2020.
Goodman stars as one of the three Freak Brothers alongside Davidson and Blake Anderson. The trio posed together for photos on the red carpet on Monday night, at a launch event that took place at Fred Segal's in LA.
After photos of the actor circulated on social media, Goodman's fans voiced their amazement at the actor's incredible new look.
"I just saw an article that the actor John Goodman lost 90kg of weight. I'm sitting here thinking, 'That's my weight. He literally lost an entire adult human.' That in itself is an amazing achievement," one person tweeted.
A second tweeted: "John Goodman looking great after losing a heap of weight."
