Earlier this week, actor Jake Gyllenhaal took to Instagram to post a pic of him as a kid wearing a pair of glasses in order to promote a charity called New Eyes.
However, the snap didn't exactly get the response you'd think it would. Unless you're a Swiftie of course - then it definitely got the appropriate response.

If you're a little confused, let me explain. You see, back in 2010, fairly on in Taylor Swift's now 16-year-long career in the music industry, the then-21-year-old briefly dated Gyllenhaal.
After the pair broke up, it was rumored that a couple of the tracks on Swift's fourth Studio album, Red, were about her whirlwind romance with the actor. One of them was the super emotional 'All Too Well'.

Speaking to Good Morning America, per Elite Daily, the former country singer said All Too Well was "the hardest to write because it took me a long time to filter through everything I wanted to say. It started out being a 10-minute song, which you can’t put on an album. I had to filter it down to a story that could work in the form of a song."

So, according to the song, Gyllenhaal was a "little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed".

Now, back to the topic of Gyllenhaal's throwback photo, you can see that he was, indeed, a little kid with glasses. This didn't escape the notice of Swift's famously eagle-eyed fans, with one writing: “You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed”.
