Rita Ora has finally confirmed that she and Taika Waititi got married last year after months of incessant speculation.
It had previously been reported that the two tied the knot last August, with neither of the spouses' reps confirming the reports.
Speaking on Heart Radio Breakfast, she said, per the Daily Mail: "Yes [I am married]. I am officially off the market people. I chose to keep it more private and keep it to myself more but with my new video I am playing on what could have been."
Ora continued to the show's hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston: "When the rumours came out is she, isn't she? I wanted to play on it. I wanted to do a wedding that didn't go to plan… that's not to say that is actually what happened."
Gushing about her nuptials, the British singer-songwriter said: "It was perfect. It was exactly, exactly how I wanted.
"It was nice and perfect. It is nice to keep some things just to myself sometimes it was nice and sweet… Sorry it's not that interesting. One day I will throw a big party."
Explaining why she has now decided to publicly confirm she is a married woman, the Masked Singer judge went on: "I knew putting music out that was inspired by where I am at [in my life] – I knew the questions were going to come.
"I just thought, I may as well put it in my music so this is the first time where the music does all the talking. It explains my love story which is on the album."
Ora, 32, and Waititi, 47, apparently began dating in March 2021, with The Sun reporting that the two lovebirds made "simultaneous" marriage proposals to each other in June last year.
They are believed to have married about two months later at a private ceremony in London attended by family and friends.
Despite being happily married, Ora admitted on the show that she's still undecided about whether or not to take her new husband's last name
She said: "I have definitely thought about taking his surname but I have worked very hard for this Ora name. I don't know… I haven't really decided yet."
In other Ora news, she is releasing her third album, telling: GQ Hype: "I never really committed to the songwriting as much with the first and second album as I have with this, but after a few weeks of getting into the groove of it, I realised I could really do this. I can stand and sing on the mic forever, but in understanding the world of songwriting I was getting a bit nervous, because it’s a very vulnerable and open album.
"It’s my love story, basically, to the world, but I wanted people to really connect to it.
