Pregnant Halsey shows off baby bump in floral bikini

Singer Halsey showed off her baby bump earlier this week, and got candid about how her body has been changing.

“February is the shortest month, but the days seem like they are taking very long. Butttttt also going so fast?!” the 26-year-old captioned an Instagram slideshow.

"I’ve been thinking lots about my body," she continued. "It’s strange to watch yourself change so quickly. I thought pregnancy would give me very strong, binary feelings about “womanhood” but truly it has leveled my perception of gender entirely. My sensitivity to my body has made me hyper aware of my humanness and that’s all. Doing a remarkable thing. And it’s grand. I hope the feeling lasts. I cook a lot, sleep even more, and read lotssss of books. I miss my family. And you guys too! Bye for now [sic]."

"You’re about to perform a real miracle, get that rest and just be! I love you!" new mother Katy Perry commented on the post, while pregnant model Emily Ratajkowski corroborated, "The sleep!"

The 'Without Me' singer announced she was pregnant on January 27 by sharing a series of pictures of her growing baby bump that she captioned: "Surprise!"

In the snaps, which were taken by photographer Sam Dameshek, she poses topless while wearing a pair of baggy jeans.

Halsey has been open in the past about experiencing multiple miscarriages, and her struggle with endometriosis. In February of 2020, she told The Guardian that it seemed like motherhood was "gonna happen" for her. "That's a miracle," she told the publication.

The singer-songwriter froze her eggs aged 23, and encouraged other women to do the same during an appearance on Doctors back in April of 2018.

''I’m fortunate enough to have that as an option, and I need to be aggressive about protecting my fertility [and] about protecting myself,” she explained. ''Reproductive illness is so frustrating because it can really make you feel like less of a woman. You don’t feel sexy, you don’t feel proud, and you don’t feel like there’s much hope.''
