Cameron Diaz has revealed that she no longer pays any mind to her appearance since stepping away from acting - instead, she has been putting all her energy into her new role as a mom.
Earlier this year, 50-year-old Diaz appeared on an episode of the BBC podcast Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers, where she spoke openly about her retirement from acting.
Speaking about her time in the industry, the star admitted: “I am absolutely a victim of all of the societal objectifications and exploitations that women are subjected to.
“I have bought into all of them myself at certain times.”

However, Diaz, whose last film appearance was actually eight years ago in her role as Hannigan in Annie (2014), now confesses she does not care about her appearance.
“I’m like a wild animal, like a beast," the actress joked.
To which host, Michelle Visage, replied: “I love that though!”
Diaz continued on to say: “Literally the last thing I think about on a daily basis, like maybe not at all during the day, is what I look like.”
Of course, it is not an easy journey to get to that place in your mind, which the former model admits. Being an actor made it even harder, as Diaz says it was “toxic” and she frequently “picked herself apart” when looking in the mirror.

To avoid putting herself down, the star would ask herself: “Why am I sitting here, like, being so mean to myself? My body is strong, my body is capable. Why am I gonna talk down to it?”
Diaz is now thankful to her body for being strong enough to get her through her life experiences.
The actress was complimented by Visage, who said: “Cameron, you look amazing, and you look naturally amazing.”
But, Diaz insists that she does virtually nothing, yet still looks that good at 50.
“I never wash my face. I have a billion products that I use maybe twice a month if I’m lucky,” she confessed. “I’m just not in that place right now [that] it’s where I put any energy.”
Since her hiatus, the former actress focuses her energy on remaining strong and being a good mom to her daughter, Raddix Madden.
When asked in an interview with Yahoo Finance whether she misses making movies, Diaz said: “It’s a different time in my life now.
“The most fulfilling thing that I've ever done in my life is have a family and be married and have our little nucleus of a family.”
“I don’t have what it takes to give making a movie what it needs to be made. I just don’t. All of my energy is here,” she continued.
For excited fans of The Holiday (2006), who thought that a sequel may be on the cards, this means it is unlikely going to happen. Director, Nancy Myers even confirmed it on her Instagram.
