Nicki Minaj opened up to her social media followers about her birthing story and her experience with "painful" breastfeeding.
The 38-year-old new mom, who gave birth back on September 30, has been very private about her newborn son - whom she shares with husband Kenneth Petty - and has opted not to share his name with her fans, referring to him on social media as "Papa Bear".

In fact, it wasn't until today that Minaj shared her first full photos of her son.
Taking to Instagram to share several images of her baby boy in a selection of outfits, the doting mom wrote: "#PapaBear thank you so very much for choosing me to be your mama [...] Wishing you guys a happy & prosperous New Year. Thank you for your love & support throughout this journey. It’s meant so much to me.

She adds: "Becoming a mom is by far the most fulfilling job I’ve ever taken on. Sending love to all the superhero mothers out there. Big hugs to all the women who have been pregnant during this challenging time."
Additionally, the 'Anaconda' star has also shared all the details about her recent birth with her Twitter followers.
The rapper revealed all after being asked by a fan on Twitter: "Did your water break at home and what was that experience getting to the hospital? Was zoo [Petty's nickname] scared?
To which the chart-topper replied: "Yes. I was butt naked. Just got out the shower & I asked him to rub my back. As soon as I started scooting over to him in the bed I just felt the water start coming out. I was weirdly calm & I quietly said 'omg, I’m about to be in labor' He was very scared & I was laughing @ him."

When asked about what kind of birth she had, Minaj said: "Yes, natural vaginal birth w/epidural. I pushed for 2 1/2 hours. Only b/c first the epidural didn’t wear off enough for me to feel myself pushing. Once I was able to feel the pain I pushed him on out."

And responding to another fan, Nicki then revealed: "Well I was actually in labor all night but all they did was let me sleep until I dilated far enough to push. The epidural didn’t hurt either. They numbed me up real good. So I took my ass right to sleep"

Nicki then said that her baby boy took to breastfeeding straight away, although, admitted it has been "painful".
"He had no problem breastfeeding," she tweeted. "He latched on in the hospital which was very surprising to me. I was afraid maybe he wouldn’t. But breast feeding is very painful. Pumping is too. Women make this stuff look way too easy. Moms r really superheroes."

Minaj has also revealed that her frequent collaborator Ariana Grande "sent him some gorgeous gifts", and also gave a shout-out to fellow mom Ciara for being "sooooooo helpful" with advice.
