Megan Fox has hit back at critics for slamming her recent VMAs and Met Gala outfits.
The actress, 35, turned heads at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday when she wore what was dubbed her "naked" dress and again on Monday as she arrived to the Met Gala in a stunning red number, as per the Daily Star.
Now, she has taken to social media to share pictures of the two outfits and defend her fashion choices against those who have slammed them.
She captioned the Instagram post: "Just me out here ignoring and defying all of your puritanical emotionally repressed projections of what a woman should be."
The post did not go unnoticed on the social media website, and at the time of writing, it has been liked over three million times, with many fans rushing to the comments section to praise Fox for defending herself.
One fan wrote: "This is everything."

A second added: "QUEEN."

A third, like many others, simply reacted with fire emojis to support the 'Transformers' actress.

However, the internet being the internet, not everyone's response to the post was so positive.
One critic remarked: "Not actually defying anything. The patriarchy wants us to be sexual objects for men's pleasure. The only way to defy it is dressing [comfortably] without auto-codification."

A second wrote: "What about what a mother should be? Out there acting like a 16 year old girl with what daddy says whatever daddy wants you sounded like a f***in idiot in the VMA interview [sic]."

This comment is a reference to Fox's revelation that she wore the naked dress because her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly "told" her to.
Fox said the eye-popping dress was Kelly's idea in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
"He was like, 'You're gonna be naked tonight,'" Fox said as she gestured to him. "I was like, 'Whatever you say, daddy!'"
The actress then used the interview to make the revelation that she wants to be in more of Kelly's music videos after starring alongside him in the 'Bloody Valentine' video. "He's not allowed to have other h**s in his music videos. It's the queen no one," Fox said.
