Logan Paul abruptly walked off his own podcast during a recent episode featuring YouTuber Tana Mongeau.
The episode, released November 21, initially teased lighthearted topics like Anthony Joshua’s upcoming fight with Jake Paul, the rumored return of Vine, and co-host Mike Majlak jokingly putting a down payment on a sex robot.
But beneath the humor, tensions escalated when an old controversy resurfaced.
Revisiting the 2017 Aokigahara Forest Scandal
In 2017, Paul faced global backlash after filming a video in Japan’s Aokigahara forest, a location known for its association with suicides.
During the recording, Paul encountered a deceased man and showed close-up footage of the victim.
Viewers criticized the group for reacting insensitively and for filming the body at all.
Paul later apologized, saying he regretted posting the video and calling his own actions disappointing and shameful.

A Joke Gone Wrong on Set
During the podcast, Paul was talking about a strongman doing a tug-of-war against a group of kids.
Co-host Mike Majlak then subtly signaled to Mongeau to use the mention of “rope” as a setup to reference Paul’s 2017 scandal.
Paul immediately caught on.
Mongeau admitted on air that Majlak was trying to push her into making her “classic suicide forest joke,” though she hesitated because Paul didn’t seem to be in the mood for it.
She added that Paul was “low-hanging fruit,” which she quickly noted was an unintentional pun, given the subject.

The moment Mongeau made the comment, Paul moved his microphone aside, covered his face with his hands, and walked off the set without saying a word.
Mongeau and Majlak burst into laughter as Paul exited the room.
Realizing the joke had gone too far, Mongeau attempted to make peace by drinking a bottle of Paul’s Prime beverage on camera and giving the brand a plug.
Despite the awkward moment, the episode continued with Mongeau and Majlak laughing about the situation.
