Livvy Dunne posts seven-word response after going viral for watching MLB boyfriend Paul Skenes

Livvy Dunne has shared a short but pointed message after going viral while watching her boyfriend play baseball.

Dunne was spotted looking pretty nervous while watching her partner, Paul Skenes, pitching for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night.

Skenes - a two-time MLB All-Star - threw for six scoreless innings as the Pirates triumphed 4-3 in an incredible extra innings victory.

Livvy Dunne was clearly caught up in the tense match

Skenes made franchise history in the game, as he broke the Pirates' record for single-season strikeouts by a right-hander.

In total, he has 216, surpassing his teammate Mitch Keller, who has 210.

LSU gymnast turned social media sensation Dunne was in the stands watching on and was visibly nervous throughout.

She could be seen supporting her beau, as well as filming and taking photos from up in the box.

At the bottom of the sixth, Dunne was spotted again - this time with a beer to calm her nerves - shouting and cheering as her boyfriend struck another batter out.

That was his last pitch, as he finished with four hits, no runs, no walks, and seven strikeouts.

What was she so nervous about?

Dunne shared a post supporting Skenes afterwards, writing: "Best szn I did ever see."

Dunne’s seven-word response to going viral

As remarkable as Skenes' season has been, it wasn’t the most talked-about thing from the game.

Dunne’s emotional roller coaster in the stands went viral to such a point that the 22-year-old even addressed it.

Sharing a post from ESPN captioned ‘Livvy Dunne reacts to Paul Skenes' pitching’, Dunne said: “Can't blame a gal for being nervous.”

Well, that’s true.

As for the Pirates, they are now at 69-89 for the season, although they are out of playoff contention two weeks from the end of the season.

So, it’s likely that Skenes will be kicking his heels until next season, giving him a bit more time to spend with Dunne.

Speaking about one of Skenes’ games in the past, Dunne said: “I always say, it’s way harder to be the person in the stands watching because I’m not in control,

“I can’t control—I don’t know how to throw a 100-mile fastball, but it’s hard to have no control. Especially with gymnastics when you’re just watching. But I know he’s got this, and I just have a lot of confidence in him.”
