Pete Davidson has allegedly responded to Kanye West after the rapper repeatedly targeted him online for dating his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian.
Text messages leaked on Sunday by Saturday Night Live guest writer Dave Sirus in a now-deleted Instagram post allegedly show a defiant Pete standing up for himself - as well as defending Kim.
Page Six has confirmed that the messages are apparently legit.
In the screenshots, the Saturday Night Live star starts the heated exchange, writing: "Yo it’s Skete. Can you please take a second and calm down. It’s 8am and it don’t gotta be like this.
"Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met. What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f***ing lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided im not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet. Grow the f*** up [sic]."
Check out the whole exchange here:Taking him to task over his choice of language, Kanye responds: "Oh you using profanity now. Where are you right now?"
Davidson then provokes the 'Gold Digger' rapper by sending him a selfie in which he is seen shirtless under the covers. He answers: "In bed with your wife."
Elsewhere in the exchange, Pete assures Kanye that for months now, he has stopped SNL from mocking him on the show. The comic also said that he has personally given up making jokes about him during stand-up routines.
"You have no idea how nice I've been to you despite your actions towards me," the comedian writes, adding: "I've had your back even though you treat me like s*** because I want everything to be smooth."
"But if you continue to press me like you have for the past 6 months," he continues, "I'm gonna stop being nice."

Then addressing Kanye's mental health, Pete, who has been open about his own mental health struggles, encourages the rapper to seek help.
He writes: "Let me help you man. I struggle with mental stuff too. It’s not an easy journey, you don’t have to feel this way anymore. There’s no shame in having a little help. You’ll be so happy and at peace."
Per People, the texts are thought to be in response to now-deleted videos Kanye shared on his Instagram earlier on Sunday. In the videos, he criticized Kim for all allowing TikTok posts featuring their eight-year-old daughter, North, to be shared publicly.
