The photo-sharing social media platform first launched back in October 2010 - when everything was much more simple.
For the first couple of years, Instagram influencers didn't exist in the droves they do today, there were no #ad or #gifted tags, people generally didn't care what they looked like, and if you wanted to see what your best friend's girlfriend's mom was having for lunch, well fear not, because she'd post it online for the world to see.
Then it all changed.
Instagram is now a place where gym workouts and selfies dominate our feeds. It is a platform that has allowed that girl you avoided in kindergarten because she used to eat glue to somehow make thousands of dollars off a swimsuit selfie. And, most importantly, it has become a place for Kylie Jenner to dominate.

The 22-year-old makeup and cosmetic mogul currently boasts a whopping 180 million followers on the social media platform, making her the fifth most-followed account on Insta (behind The Rock, Ariana Grande, Christiano Ronaldo, and Instagram itself).

But there was a time where Jenner's posts weren't all carefully posed swimsuit selfies that would quickly come under fire from fans for being photoshopped. In fact, there were totally normal and relatable - reminiscent of the sorts of things we all used to share when we first downloaded the app.
Jenner shared her first Instagram post back in November of 2011, and since then, she has posted over 6,400 posts.

Jenner's very first post is reminiscent of when we all first downloaded the app and took a picture of the first thing we could see. Kylie shared a basic picture of a fireplace and accompanied it with a basic caption, reading: "Rain day fire<3". She shared the post back on November 4, 2011, and as of this writing, it has reached 177,514 likes. To put that into perspective, Kylie's most recent post (shared 12 hours ago) has already surpassed 6.6 million likes.

Jenner's second Instagram post is also the first time her followers were treated to a selfie of the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister.
Shared on November 6, 2011, Jenner captioned the post "3 3 3" - a reference to her three ear piercings. Unbelievably, that post has only reached just over 88,400 likes.

Proof that even Kylie Jenner wasn't too good to upload a picture of a meal, here are some colorful pancakes she shared back on March 8, 2012. And for further proof nobody liked food pictures (even back then), this snap hasn't even hit 40,000 likes yet.
