Jimmy Kimmel has torn into Vice President Mike Pence, saying that he doesn't need the Covid vaccine, instead, he needs a "bottle of Clorox and a heat lamp".
The talk show host made the comments during the opening monologue of his show on Thursday night, where he had been talking about the nor'easter that hit the East Coast.
Kimmel then transitioned and said: "Speaking of cold, white stuff; Mike Pence is expected to get the first dose of two Pfizer shots tomorrow.
"He and his wife Karen will be doing it on television to show that the vaccine is safe. I guess the thinking is if it's good enough for 'America's First Karen,' it should be good enough for the rest of them too," he said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Pence wrote an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal in June where he dismissed the existence of a "second wave" of the virus, and Kimmel said that as a result, he shouldn't get the vaccine.
"So maybe save that dose for someone else," Kimmel quipped. "The only cure Mike Pence should get right now is a bottle of Clorox and a heat lamp."
Pence went on to receive the vaccine as planned and was given it on Friday (December 18) by medics from the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

After receiving the shot on live television, Pence described the speed at which an effective vaccine was developed as "a medical miracle."
"The American people can be confident: We have one and perhaps within hours two safe vaccines," Pence said in reference to the FDA approval for Moderna's vaccine. The first vaccine to be approved was Pfizer-BioNTech's vaccine.
"Building confidence in the vaccine is what brings us here this morning," he added.
US Surgeon General Jerome Adams was also vaccinated on Friday.
White House immunologist Dr. Anthony Fauci also dispelled any fears that people might have about the safety of the vaccine and the speed at which it was produced.
Per CNN, Fauci said: "The speed was a reflection of extraordinary scientific advances and did not compromise safety."
