Jessie J appears to confirm split from Channing Tatum in new twerking video on Instagram

Jessie J has appeared to confirm her split from Channing Tatum with a playful Instagram video showing her twerking.

The 32-year-old singer had been in an on/off relationship with the Magic Mike star for around two years, with the pair appearing to rekindle their romance back in January.

And despite outlets such as Cosmopolitan reporting that the couple had once again called it quits in April, neither of the stars confirmed the news... until now.

Sharing a playful video with her 9.3 million Instagram followers, the 'Domino' chart-topper stares longingly into the camera, before it cuts to J twerking.

The singer captioned the video: "What my pupils are actually doing while I calmly stare at you trying to get a quick read on your energy...

"Single life in a pandemic is."

Not wanting to cause any offense, the 'Price Tag' singer then added: "It’s supposed to be funny. So don’t get serious Sally in the comments. Sorry if your name is Sally and you aren’t serious."

The humorous clip has been viewed over 720,000 times (as of this writing), and received over 1,900 comments.

Back in April, Jessie - real name Jessica Ellen Cornish - shared a series of snaps of Tanning on her Instagram Stories to celebrate the actor's 40th birthday.

Alongside a series of photos showing Channing by the sea, Jessie wrote: "Happy 40th birthday to this special man right here. You are truly one of a kind. I am so grateful you were born, and even more grateful that we met."

She then posted a photo of Channing wearing a motocross outfit, captioned "Keep living your BEST life." Finally, Jessie shared a video of Channing jumping into the sea.

Per The Sun, Jessie appeared to suggest why the couple broke up in the lyrics for her new track 'Simply Be In Love' - which she performed over Instagram Live.

In the song, she sings:

"You're always dreaming about tomorrow, and I'm still overthinking yesterday.

"Where you go I know I want to follow, let's make a promise on today. Take it slow, baby steps, so we don't ruin what comes next.

"Just be still, just stay calm, so we're not rushing what we are. Pressure off, just have fun, it's not a race, no need to run. If it's forever, let's just simply be in love."
