Janice Dickinson has released graphic, previously unseen images of the injuries she sustained during a fall while filming I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The former supermodel, 70, was injured during the 2022 filming of the All Stars spinoff of the British reality series in South Africa.
In the photos, obtained by The Sun, Dickinson is shown lying in a hospital bed with visible wounds to her lips, nose, chin, and forehead.
Additional images shared by TMZ show bruising, including a large purple mark on her chin.
"The Most Frightening Night of My Life"
According to court records, Dickinson filed a personal injury lawsuit against ITV Studios in the United Kingdom in September 2025, The Independent reported.
She is seeking over £700,000 in damages (just under $1 million), alleging negligence on the part of the producers and citing permanent facial deformities and nerve damage that have affected her ability to eat, speak, and drink.
Dickinson claims the fall occurred in the middle of the night while she was attempting to use the toilet at the campsite, which she describes as poorly lit. She believes the incident was exacerbated by the effects of a sleep medication allegedly administered by a medic.
Speaking to The Sun, she recalled, “It was the most frightening night of my life. Those motherf***ers left me there bleeding in the dark for 10 minutes. The guy whose job it was to watch us was negligent. ITV had a duty of care and they let me down.”
Her legal filing claims she sustained “permanent traumatic scarring across multiple areas of her face, including the lips and mouth area, both cheeks, the chin and lower face," cited by Page Six.
A medical report cited in the lawsuit states that Dickinson now suffers from facial dysaesthesia - a condition that causes discomfort, increased sensitivity, and reduced sensation due to nerve damage.
The report concludes that her face has been “permanently altered”, including scars that cannot be covered and “permanent asymmetry around her lower face, including the lips, mouth, cheeks, and chin.”
ITV Studios responded with an official statement.
“Janice Dickinson’s letter of claim has been received and reviewed. I’m A Celebrity operates a high level of safety protocols, and the health, safety, and welfare of all of our contributors are our number one priority," the company said.
“We don’t recognise this version of events. However, we looked after Janice at the time, paid her medical expenses, flew her home to LA, and the I’m A Celebrity team were in regular contact with Janice and her representatives on an ongoing basis after she returned home to America until after the programme aired seven months later.”
According to ITV, Dickinson tripped overnight while walking through the camp to the long drop toilet.
She was treated immediately by the show’s on-site medical team and then taken to the hospital as a precaution. Producers later decided she should exit the show to focus on recovery.
In an interview following her departure, Dickinson said: “I could have been the one to be second runner up or even win this series because I was just so steadfast and physiological with it. I was just waiting and biding my time with it all.”
“I did my fair share in standing up, falling down. Getting my face in the dirt. I felt like they could have possibly cleaned my wounds and set me back on my path in there. But production made the right decision in the end to not send me back in," she added.
The model, who was a runner-up on the original 2007 series, is now fully committed to the legal fight.
Her UK rep, Dermot McNamara, stated: “Janice is fully committed to this legal process and seeing it through to its conclusion. She looks forward to unpacking ITV’s defences, when she receives them.”
