Jackass star Bam Margera reportedly taken to rehab in police car after ‘emotional disturbance’

Bam Margera has reportedly been taken to rehab in a police car after an "emotional disturbance" took place.

The Jackass star, 42, was taken to a Florida rehab facility in the back of a police car, law enforcement sources have told TMZ, following a call about a person in emotional distress at the Don CeSar Resort Hotel in St. Pete Beach.

Police provided assistance after they were informed that a court order had been issued to take the skateboarder to rehab.

In the video below, Jackass discusses putting a restraining order on Margera:

Margera's emotional disturbance is the lastest trouble to befall the star, whose wife recently asked for custody of their three-year-old son, Phoenix Wolf.

TMZ reported in September that court documents filed in Los Angeles Nicole Boyd asked for full custody of the child, however, she was willing to give Margera visitation rights with a pre-approved monitor.

While custody issues typically only take place when a couple divorces, interestingly, Boyd has not yet filed to end her eight-year marriage to Margera.

As well as the troubles in his personal life, Margera has been removed from the Jackass franchise after arguing with Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine.

TMZ reports that after an earlier rehab stint he believed that his life was going to end as a result of suicide or an overdose, and he revealed that he was being helped by a Florida-based woman who has assisted other stars including AC/DC's Brian Johnson and Steven Tyler.

In April, Daily Mail reports, he revealed a number of drugs he was required to be on as a condition of his release, including Zoloft, Lexapro, Wellbutrin, and Klonopin.

"This is what the doctors say I need," he said. "And then it led to suicidal tendencies on all 18 medications I was on. I'm like, well what's the point of a $5 million contract that I have to walk on eggshells and jump through your hoops, which is already impossible, to obey if I'm dead?"

Margera sued Johnny Knoxville and a number of other members of the Jackass team for alleged "inhumane treatment."

Per Daily Mail, he said the expectations placed upon him for Jackass 4 amounted to torture.

Bam said: "It was the definition of f***in torture,' he said. 'They tortured me."

This took place after he was removed from the franchise and told to avoid alcohol and drugs, and the director Jeff Tremaine subsequently got a restraining order against him.
