Today, January 17, marks what would have been Betty White's 100th birthday.
The legendary Golden Girls star - who captured the hearts of millions around the world over her eight-decade career - sadly passed away "peacefully in her sleep at home" on Friday, December 31, 2021, less than three weeks away from her 100th birthday.
There are many ways White's life is being celebrated today, but you can also find a touching tribute to the star through a simple Google search.
If you search 'Betty White' on Google today, you unlock a heartwarming animated Easter egg in memory of the star. As you can see from the screenshot below, not only will rose petals start to fall from the top of the screen, but a message reading "Thank you for being a friend" will appear.
This just so happened to be the title of The Golden Girls theme song.
The animation will play on both desktops and cell phones - so why not give it a go?
White will perhaps best be remembered for starring in 180 episodes of the internationally adored sitcom, The Golden Girls, but younger fans may know her best as Grandma Annie in the 2009 rom-com, The Proposal.
The beloved actor was also a vocal advocate for the well-being of animals. A lifelong animal lover, White was outspoken about her feelings for our four-legged friends. In her 2011 book Betty & Friends: My Life at the Zoo, she wrote about her obsession, saying "my preoccupation with animals is an open secret."
She was also said to have cared for 26 dogs at one point - but it wasn't just household pets that she held her heart. As well as caring for an array of her own animals, White was also heavily involved with a number of zoos and named an honorary zookeeper in 2013 by the Los Angeles chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers.
There are even sections of Columbus Zoo and the Los Angeles Zoo that have dedicated walks named in White's honor.
If you'd love to watch some of White's greatest moments today, Hallmark has blocked out their entire schedule in honor of the late star's best Golden Girls moments.
Additionally, you could find a local movie theater that is playing the documentary Betty White: A Celebration - which will feature a special video message from White recorded just 10 days prior to her passing.
Betty, we love you and we miss you. Thank you for being a friend.
