Chrissy Teigen reveals she has taken her first shower since losing baby Jack

Chrissy Teigen has revealed in a candid new Instagram post that she has taken a shower for the first time since losing her unborn baby earlier this year.

Back in October, Teigen revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage after telling fans that she was experiencing heavy bleeding and was rushed to the hospital.

In a statement posted to their social media accounts the day after she was admitted, Chrissy and her husband John Legend wrote broke the tragic news.

The couple wrote: "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we've never felt before.

"We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn't enough."

They continued: "We never decide on our babies' names until the last possible moment after they're born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.

"So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.

"To our Jack - I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you."

And while celebrating her 35th birthday on Monday (November 30), the 35-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to share a short video with her 33.2 million followers.

Wearing a robe and with a towel wrapped around her head, Chrissy addressed her fans and spoke about her shower, stating:

"I just had my first shower in like two months. I’ve been taking baths because I couldn’t stand to be in the shower. I couldn’t, like, physically stand in the shower.

"I feel really, really good. Thank you for all my birthday wishes. I feel very clear and very good.

"I realised that just left you supremely hanging. I’m sorry. I just mean it’s been a ride, it has been a journey, and I am happy to be back again."

In a later Instagram post, Chrissy spoke about the impact the last two months have had on her and reflected on the tragedy she suffered. In a lengthy caption she wrote:

"When I’m old and grey, I will look back on the last two months as being brutal, exhausting, sad, physically challenging, mentally painful b****** of a couple months. But I refuse to not find humor in both the rage-fits and the outfits.

"I already see the leaves as orange instead of grey, realized the sky is indeed blue and not black and horn honks on my forced morning walks only bring me to my knees half the time. [sic]"

She added: "I can make it up my stairs only stopping once or twice instead of every other, and can get out of the bathtub all by myself as long as I have the promise john will dry me off. [sic]"
