Chrissy Teigen reacts to being the only celebrity followed by Biden's @POTUS Twitter account

Now that Joe Biden has become the 46th President of the United States, he's been granted access to the official Twitter account of the POTUS, wresting control of it away from the Twitter-banned Donald Trump.

On January 15, 2021, Biden posted his first-ever tweet on the Presidential account, writing to his 5 million followers:

"Folks — This will be the account for my official duties as President. At 12:01 PM on January 20th, it will become @POTUS. Until then, I'll be using @JoeBiden. And while you're here, follow @FLOTUSBiden @SenKamalaHarris @SecondGentleman and @Transition46. [sic]"

However, a lot of people couldn't help noticing that Biden himself wasn't following a whole lot of celebrities on the POTUS account. That is, apart from one very special person in particular: Chrissy Teigen.

Now Chrissy herself has reacted to the news with a Twitter account of her own, and it's safe to say that she's pretty pleased about it.

The 35-year-old model and influencer was first informed that she was the only celebrity Biden follows when a Twitter user named Gabe Fleisher posted a screenshot from the @POTUS account's follower list and captioned it:

"The official @POTUS account now follows 11 people — all of them Biden aides or accounts, and then @chrissyteigen."

An enthusiastic Chrissy retweeted the screenshot to her 13.6 million followers, writing: "OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!! [sic]"

She then followed that up by writing: "my heart oh my god lmao I can finally see the president’s tweets and they probably won’t be unhinged. [sic]", before adding: "I should prob never tweet again. [sic]"

Chrissy and her husband John Legend openly pledged their support for Biden in the 2020 Presidential Election, and both attended a pro-Biden rally in Philadelphia back in November, along with their children Luna and Miles, and Chrissy's mother Vilailuck.

After time Biden was projected by multiple media outlets to replace Donald Trump, a happy Chrissy took to Twitter to write:

"My god it feels like I just took off a weighted blanket, unhooked my bra and taken out my extensions all at once."

In a follow-up post, she added:

"I can’t imagine that incredible feeling of being elected president and being so so happy but then realizing that you have to actually do stuff. Like we are the real winners here."

The couple was later filmed attending a street party in West Hollywood following the announcement of Biden's win, in videos shared on Instagram by former disk jockey Rick Savage.
