Just six months after tying the knot in a guestless ceremony amid the pandemic, Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell have announced that they're becoming parents for the first time - to a baby girl!
Today (September 22), the wildlife enthusiast and conservationist took to Instagram to tell her 3.9 million followers that she and Chandler were expecting a baby girl.

"Baby girl, you are our world," the 22-year-old wrote. "Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be. We can’t wait for her arrival next year."

Sharing in his pregnant wife's excitement, Chandler wrote over on his account:
"Our little girl and my beautiful wife are my entire world. I’m so excited to meet our daughter when she’s born next year and to see the incredible person she will grow up to be"

Needless to say, fans were overjoyed by the news, with one writing: "I can’t wait to find out what you name her. Congratulations, y’all deserve all the happiness in the world."

This comes more than a month after Bindi, daughter of the late 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin, announced to the world on Instagram that she was expecting her first child.

She wrote:
"Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!
"It’s an honor to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.
"We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.
"Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light."
Chandler took the comments of the announcement post, lovingly writing: "Our little Wildlife Warrior is going to be so loved," alongside a heart emoji.
