The 39-year-old revealed she’s now raising three children on her own terms — a journey she says has been humbling, challenging, and completely full of joy.
“Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” Heard wrote to her 5.5 million followers.
“This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang.”
Amber revealed her newborns’ names: “My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full.”
She continued: “When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!”
Amber, who has long been vocal about choosing motherhood solo, once again reflected on that decision in her heartfelt announcement.

“Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life,” she wrote. “I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully.”
“To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always, A x.”
Her spokesperson confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE, saying: “Amber is delighted to welcome the twins and complete her family. Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show.”
Amber’s first daughter, Oonagh Paige, was born on April 8, 2021 — named in honor of Heard’s late mother, Paige, who passed away in 2020.
She was born via surrogate, a decision Amber shared publicly in an Instagram post where she explained: “I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms.
"I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.
“A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this,” she added.

Since the end of her high-profile legal battles with ex-husband Johnny Depp in 2022, Amber moved overseas to start fresh in Madrid, Spain.
She’s kept a relatively low profile since then, occasionally sharing candid moments with her daughter and glimpses into her life as a full-time mom.
During her 2022 trial testimony, Amber made a rare reference to her role as a mother. “I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too.”
Now, with twins Agnes and Ocean joining the Heard household, Amber says her dream of having a full family is complete.
