They wrote: "Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives.
"With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star."
The Les Miserable star married fellow actor Sadoski during a private ceremony in March 2017. Sadoski later told Jimmy Kimmel that the only people present for their wedding was an officiant and their dog, Finn.
"It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other," The Newsroom star told the host.
This is the second child the couple shares, with Seyfried having birth to their daughter, Nina Sadoski Seyfried, back in March 2017.
Speaking to E! News just a few months after the birth of their daughter, Seyfried said: "Man, I love being a mother. I love my family so much."
