When it comes to makeup, I'm about as capable of applying lipstick as I am at performing brain surgery - and I think it's fairly obvious that I'm no neurosurgeon. I wouldn't know a cat-eye from a tightline (no, seriously, I just had to Google it), and my only experience with highlighting is the kind you do on paper. For me, seeing someone pull off a convincing contour is impressive enough; but these Instagram posts go way beyond that.
